Our very first repatriation, more than thirty years ago, was from the UK to Brazil. In those days the journey went by sea and took over a month. A great deal has changed since then, but the Americas have stayed close to the heart of our work, from North America to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
Today we work with partner funeral directors throughout the region, and for many countries we can arrange the whole journey door to door, from the UK to a major city or a small town far from the nearest airport.

Paperwork differs from one country to the next, and some consulates need the next of kin to sign before a permit is issued. We'll tell you early on what applies and gather everything else ourselves.
We prepare your loved one with care and use an IATA-approved protective casing instead of a zinc-lined coffin, which can absorb heat on arrival in warmer countries. Then we book the flight to the right airport.
On arrival, our partners across the Americas take over and bring your loved one the rest of the way, whether that's a short drive or a long journey inland.
We stay in touch throughout, so you're kept informed until your loved one is with the family.

Members of our team speak Spanish and Portuguese, and our coffin and casket brochure is available in both languages, so families from Latin America can arrange everything in the language they're most comfortable with.
The modern casing we use is lighter than a traditional zinc lining and better suited to hot climates. It is transparent, so a vigil can still take place on arrival, and it can be removed easily if the family prefers.
For many destinations across the Americas, including Brazil, Jamaica and the United States, we look after every stage, from collection in the UK to handing over to the family wherever they are.
